Six Degrees of Separation

Six degrees of separation is the idea that every person on this planet is connected to each other by a maximum of 6 degrees of separation. Imagine that; that every person in the world is no more than six social connections away from you.

The idea was originally born in 1929, in a short story by Frigyes Karinthy, but it became more widely known in 1990 through John Guare’s play Six Degrees of Separation.

The most powerful part of this concept is perhaps that it bring both human excellence and human suffering a little closer to us, than we may realise in our daily lives. Our idols and heroes are closer, but so are the human tragedies that we see on the news.

One could say that Traids is meant to be an accelerator or catalyst of these six degrees. This platform is created to connect people who share a similar need and goal, who can work together in a mutually beneficial way whilst weathering the storms that our surroundings can represent.
